A Feel of Florida Keys through Biscayne National Park


Located in southern Florida, Biscayne National Park is a must-see destination in Florida Keys. Established in 1968, earlier it was called Biscayne National Monument. It was promoted to National Park status in 1980. The park is one of the best scuba diving areas in US. As 95% of the park is water, it is more like of a water reserve which is extensively guarded mangrove forest. It stretches around 700 km.

Biscayne National park enjoys the typical Florida Keys climate. Here summers are pleasantly warm, with high humidity and frequent rains. Winters are windy, mild and dry. Daily weather conditions can change rapidly. In other words, vacationers experience a different weather condition compared to the mainland Florida.

The largest island in Biscayne, the Elliott Key is formed from coral reef. The islands deep into north in the park are transitional islands of coral and sand.

It features some great works of both established and emerging artists who are inspired by the park’s beauty.
